The Los Angeles Angels and the Minnesota Twins meet Sunday in MLB action from Target Field. This will be the finale in a three-game weekend series. Los Angeles Angels 

The Angels briefly had the Friday game tied at 3-3, but ultimately fell 8-6 after coughing up four runs in the seventh inning. Both Logan O’Hoppe and Jared Walsh provided a two RBI with a homer. On Saturday Los Angeles got a solo homer from Jo Adell in the fourth inning as their only run. That was enough for a 1-0 victory to tie the series, though. 

Tyler Anderson will take the mound for the Angels on Sunday. Across his 27 games (25 starts) this year Anderson is 6-6 with a 5.43 ERA and 119 Ks in 141.0 innings. Anderson is 1-3 with a 6.87 ERA in his last seven games (six starts).

On Saturday Minnesota had just five team hits from three different players. Both Kyle Farmer and Christian Vazquez finished with two hits, and Andrew Stevenson had the other. 

It’ll be Joe Ryan in the starter role for the Twins on Sunday. In his 27 starts this year Ryan is 10-10 with a 4.30 ERA and 181 Ks in 150.2 frames. Ryan is 1-4 with a 5.85 ERA in his last seven starts.

I’ll stick with the Twins. With the thick line you could make a case either way, though. Ryan has been fairly sketchy over his last three starts, posting eight combined earned runs in 13.2 innings of work and going 0-2 in that stretch. As for Anderson, he’s given up nine earned in 18.1 innings over his last three starts with a 1-0 record. On Saturday Minnesota had a really flat offensive outing, which ruined a great start from Sonny Gray (6.0 innings; one earned) and a nice effort from the pen (3.0 innings; three hits; one walk; two Ks). The Twins have scored five or more runs in three of their last four games though, so I like the bats to come back around in the rubber match.
