The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet Thursday in MLB action from Rogers Centre. Here’s a Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles prediction. This will be the final installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Orioles played the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend. Baltimore took wins in the first pair 3-1 and 9-5 before a 4-3 loss on Sunday. The O’s bounced back with wins over the Jays 7-2 and 10-1 in the first pair. On Wednesday Baltimore posted a 3-2 loss. Starter Albert Suarez finished with 5.0 innings and two earned runs.

For the Thursday finale starting role, the Orioles are sending out Cade Povich. This will be Povich’s MLB debut. He’s the Orioles’ top pitching prospect.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

Over on the Blue Jays’ side, they took on the Pittsburgh Pirates in their last series. Toronto lost 8-1 in the Saturday matchup but otherwise won 5-3 Friday and 5-4 in the finale to take the set. On Wednesday the Blue Jays posted nine hits in the victory. Jose Berrios finished on 6.0 innings in the start with two earned on six hits and three walks.

It’ll be Yusei Kikuchi in the starting pitcher role for the Blue Jays on Thursday. This year Kikuchi is 2-5 with a 3.66 ERA and 65 Ks in 66.1 innings over 12 starts. Kikuchi is 34-42 with a 4.61 ERA in 146 games (134 starts).

Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Orioles here. Most of that is due to Kikuchi’s recent struggles on the mound. Over his last two outings combined, Kikuchi is 0-1 with 10 earned runs in 8.1 innings on 17 hits and one walk. Kikuchi also notched a loss versus the White Sox on May 21 with two earned in 6.0 innings. If he can’t bounce back quickly the O’s should have some early opportunities.

On Wednesday Baltimore got a couple of hits from Ryan O’Hearn but not much else was going on offensively. The O’s need a better effort with the bats in this one.
