Two of the hottest offenses in the league collide tonight when the Phoenix Suns host the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers head into Phoenix tonight on a four-game win streak after cruising past the struggling Pelicans by 108-76 on Saturday. Chris Paul led hte team with 21 points and eight assists while Blake Griffin added 20 points, but neither were required to play their usual allotment of minutes with the Clippers leading by 27 points after three quarters. They were able to dominate the game by so much because they kept Anthony Davis on the bench with foul trouble and held the starting backcourt of Brian Roberts and Eric Gordon to a combined six points on two of 21 shooting. With the win Los Angeles improves to 41-20 on the season and 25-5 at home.

Meanwhile, the Suns have responded to three straight losses with back to back wins after beating the Hawks in a 129-120 shootout on Sunday. Gerald Green made five three pointers on his way to a game-high 33 points, Goran Dragic added 19 points while the Morris twins combined for 39 points as the Suns achieved season highs in total points, assists and three pointers made. On the defensive end, well... there was no defense to speak of as the Suns allowed over 100 points for the fifth consecutive game. In the end, the game shouldn't have been as close as it was, but the Suns will take the win nonetheless because it puts them in seventh place ahead of the Mavericks on percentage points.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four against Western Conference opponents, while the Suns are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Head to head, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Phoenix and the Under is 9-2 in the last 11.
The Suns looked better than ever on the offensive end in their last game, but if their lapses in defense really scares me because the Clippers can match them point for point. With that being said, I'm taking the Clippers here in what should be a close contest.
