Brooklyn Nets vs. Sacramento Kings – 8/7/20 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Sacramento Kings and the Brooklyn Nets collide at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Friday.

The Sacramento Kings have had a rough restart to the season, but they will be hoping to build some momentum after last night’s 140-125 win over the Pelicans. Bogdan Bogdanovic led the team with 35 points on 13 of 20 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 30 points with 10 assists while Harrison Barnes chipped in 22 points. As a team, the Kings shot 53 percent from the field and 16 of 33 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 49 points in the first quarter, before pouring in another 40 points in the third quarter to make it a blowout.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have split their last four games and they will be looking to bounce back after getting trounced by the Celtics in a 149-115 loss on Wednesday. Jeremiah Martin led the team in scoring with just 20 points off the bench, Joe Harris added 14 points while Caris LeVert chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Nets shot just 47 percent from the field and eight of 32 from the 3-point line but they were slow out of the gates and quickly found themselves trailing by 19 points going into halftime. The second half was almost as bad as the Nets could never gain any ground which was disappointing to see after the Nets took down the Bucks in their previous outing.

Head to head, the Kings are 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Brooklyn and the Kings are 4-12 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.

Jarrett Allen is questionable for this game with a sprained left ankle so the Nets will once again be shorthanded for this game, but I do expect them to bounce back with a better showing in this game. With that being said, I still think the Kings will take plenty of confidence from last night’s impressive win over the Pelicans and I think they can keep that momentum going with another win here.
