Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to build on their current six-game win streak after smashing the Clippers in a 126-94 home win on Wednesday. Jayson Tatum and Payton Pritchard each scored 20 points, Derrick White added 19 points with seven assists while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Celtics shot 51 percent from the field and 22 of 51 from the 3-point line as they exploded for a season-high 51 points in the second quarter to take the early lead, allowing them to cruise in the second half and rest a few starters early.
Chicago Bulls
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been doing it tough lately as they’ve lost five of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting trounced by the Magic in a 133-119 road defeat on Wednesday. Ayo Dosunmu led the team with 21 points on 10 of 12 shooting, Talen Horton-Tucker added 20 points on seven of eight shooting off the bench while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and 16 of 42 from the 3-point line, but they had no answers for the Magic and they were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 73 points in the first half. The Bulls trailed by as many as 27 points in this one before they went on a fourth quarter rally to keep the final scores somewhat respectable.
Boston v Chicago free prediction
The Celtics should be a full strength for this game as they don’t have a single player listed on the injury report, while the Bulls are keeping eyes on Coby White, Dalen Terry and Jalen Smith who are all questionable. The Celtics have expectedly opened as heavy road favorites as they’ve been one of the most consistent teams all season and they’re only going to get better now that Porzingis is back in the lineup. The Bulls are capable of hanging around and making this tough, but I don’t think we’re getting enough points from the bookies to sway me from taking the Celtics and laying the points.
