Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be brimming with confidence after sneaking past the Nuggets in a 127-121 overtime win on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 36 points and nine assists on 12 of 29 shooting, Chet Holmgren added 15 points with 21 rebounds and three blocks while Jared McCain chipped in with 14 points on six of eight shooting off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and did a good job of staying within striking distance thanks to Gilgeous-Alexander who carried the offense, but this win was more about their defense as they forced the Nuggets into turnovers down the stretch which proved crucial in a game that could’ve gone either way.
Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a terrible slump as they’ve lost 12 of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting mauled by the Grizzlies in a 124-105 loss on Friday. Brandon Williams led the team in scoring with just 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Daniel Gafford added 14 points on seven of eight shooting while Max Christie and Dwight Powell each scored 13 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 42 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled for offense from the tipoff, scoring just 44 points in the first half and trailing by as many as 34 points before they finished strong to bring some respectability to the final score.

The Thunder are still missing Jalen Williams, Ajay Mitchell and Branden Carlson, while the Mavericks have ruled out Cooper Flagg, Kyrie Irving, PJ Washington, Dereck Lively II and Marvin Bagley III once again. The Thunder are as healthy as they’ve been all season, they have been playing great basketball and they just took down the Nuggets in a thrilling overtime win, while the Mavericks are still mired in their worst slump of the season with a long list of quality players still out injured. The line was always going to be hefty in this matchup, but it’s still not high enough to sway me from taking this Thunder squad to run through this depleted Mavericks squad. Give me the Thunder to stay hot with a blowout win on the road in this one.
