The Detroit Pistons pay a visit to the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Tuesday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in a real funk lately as they’ve lost nine of their last 14 games, but they will be looking to stay hot after destroying the slumping Thunder in a 132-108 road win last night. Jerami Grant led the team with 21 points and five assists, Sekou Doumbouya and Josh Jackson each scored 14 points while Hamidou Diallo chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 28 from the 3-point line as they held the Thunder to just 19 points in the first quarter to take the early double-digit lead, before making it a complete blowout as they exploded for 84 points in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great form as they’ve won 14 of their past 17 games and they will be looking to build on their current five-game win streak after taking down the Magic in a 119-109 home win on Sunday. Aaron Gordon led the team with 24 points on 10 of 13 shooting, Jamal Murray added 22 points, Michael Porter Jr. scored 20 points with 12 rebounds while Nikola Jokic racked up 17 points with nine rebounds and 16 assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they struggled in the first half and trailed by as many as 18 points, before coming to life in the second half where they outscored the Magic by 72-44 to win easily in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games playing on zero days’ rest and 7-0 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600. The Nuggets are 8-18-1 ATS in their last 27 games against a team below .400 and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Pistons haven’t been able to build any momentum lately, but they will be breathing a sigh of relief after destroying the hapless Thunder by 24 points last night. The Nuggets are clearly the team in better form as they’re currently riding a five-game win streak and they only seem to be getting better as Gordon continues to develop with them. The line seems a little hefty, but I think the Nuggets can cover the spread with the Pistons playing on zero days’ rest.
