The Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Little Caesars Arena.

The Toronto Raptors need a win here to snap a five game losing streak. The Toronto Raptors are averaging 112.5 points on 44.8 percent shooting and allowing 112 points on 45.8 percent shooting. Fred VanVleet is averaging 20.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while Pascal Siakam is averaging 20.1 points and 4.8 assists. Norman Powell is the third double-digit scorer and Kyle Lowry is grabbing 5.6 rebounds. The Toronto Raptors are shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc and 82.9 percent from the free throw line. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 37.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.6 rebounds per game.

The Detroit Pistons need a win after losing 10 of their last 12 games. The Detroit Pistons are averaging 107.3 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 111.3 points on 48 percent shooting. Jerami Grant is averaging 23.4 points and 5.2 rebounds while Josh Jackson is averaging 13.3 points and 1.9 assists. Delon Wright is the third double-digit scorer and Wayne Ellington is grabbing 1.8 rebounds. The Detroit Pistons are shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 76.7 percent from the free throw line. The Detroit Pistons are allowing 37.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.5 rebounds per game.

The Raptors are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. The Pistons are 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 games playing on 1 days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. The over is 5-2 in Raptors last 7 overall. The under is 9-3 in Pistons last 12 overall. The Raptors are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Detroit.

I’ve faded the Detroit Pistons all season and they’re not a team I’m eager to back now either. However, the Toronto Raptors are a complete mess right now and things won’t improve until they get Siakam and VanVleet back on the court. The Raptors are losing their last five games by an average of 13 points while shooting just 42.7 percent from the field. The Pistons also beat the Raptors on the road two weeks ago by 24 points. Better options out there, but I’ll grab the free bucket with the Pistons if forced to pick.
