The Golden State Warriors play host to the Atlanta Hawks at the Chase Center on Monday night.

The Atlanta Hawks have been in a slump lately as they’ve lost five of their past six games and they will be hoping to put a halt to a three-game skid after falling just short to the Suns in a 121-117 road loss on Saturday. Trae Young led the team with 31 points and 13 assists, John Collins added 16 points with 10 rebounds on nine of 12 shooting while Bogdan Bogdanovic chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Hawks shot just 43 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 40 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 12 points, before going ice-cold in the fourth quarter where the Suns outscored them by 35-19. DeAndre Hunter had a night to forget as he finished with just two points on one of nine shooting.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been on fire as they’ve won eight of their first nine games and they will be aiming to build on their current four-game win streak after blowing past the Rockets in a 120-107 home win last night. Jordan Poole led the team with 25 points and five assists, Stephen Curry added 20 points while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 51 percent from the field and 15 of 46 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 69 points in the first half to take the early lead, before pushing the margin out to 32 points to allow them to rest their starters early.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 0-8 ATS in their last eight road games, 0-5 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Warriors are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games, 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 9-23-1 ATS in their last 33 games playing on zero days’ rest.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall, the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Golden State and the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Hawks haven’t looked like themselves lately and it’s hard to imagine things will get better as John Collins is now listed as questionable with a foot injury. The Warriors have hit the ground running this season and they were able to rest their starters early last night as they had the game wrapped up in the third quarter, so with the line so short, I have to stick with the Warriors to stay hot with another win and cover at home in this spot.
