The Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors collide at the Chase Center on Wednesday night. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Warriors prediction.

The Portland Trail Blazers have been improving lately as they’ve won three of their past five games, but they will be looking to bounce back after having their two-game win streak snapped by the Jazz in a 118-113 overtime road loss on Saturday. Malcolm Brogdon led the team with 25 points and six assists, Shaedon Sharpe added 25 points on nine of 20 shooting while Scoot Henderson chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 40 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to erase a 16-point deficit in regulation, only to go cold and score just seven points in overtime to allow the Jazz off the hook. Jerami Grant had a rough game as he scored just nine points on one of nine shooting from the field and zero of five shooting from the 3-point line.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in a real funk as they’ve lost nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping for a better result after coming up painfully short to the Clippers in a 113-112 road loss on Saturday. Stephen Curry led the team with 22 points and 11 assists, Draymond Green and Moses Moody scored 21 points each while Klay Thompson chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 44 percent from the field and 17 of 43 from the 3-point line as they had it all going in the first half to build a 22-point lead, but they took their foot off the gas and lost it in the final seconds with the Clippers’ Paul George draining the game-winner with just 9.2 seconds remaining.

The Trail Blazers are going to be without Jerami Grant for this one and Anfernee Simons is listed as questionable, while the Warriors expect to have Chris Paul back in the lineup which is a real boost. The Trail Blazers are starting to play some better basketball, but they’re missing a lot of firepower and will find it tough to match it with the Warriors. Yes, the Warriors are in poor form at the moment, but they should have CP3 back and I think they get the much-needed win at home to get their season back on track.
