The Golden State Warriors invade the Toyota Center to take on the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

The Golden State Warriors have been in a real rut as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting thrashed by the Lakers in a 128-97 home loss on Monday. Stephen Curry led the team with 27 points on nine of 17 shooting, Andrew Wiggins added 15 points while Jordan Poole chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and were always fighting a losing battle after falling behind by 15 points going into halftime. Draymond Green scored just two points in 29 minutes of action while Kent Bazemore finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in terrible form as they will be hoping to put an end to an ugly 17-game skid after last night’s 119-107 home loss to the Hawks. Victor Oladipo led the team with 34 points and five assists on 13 of 20 shooting, Jae’Sean Tate added 25 points with six assists while Kevin Porter Jr. chipped in with 22 points and eight assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 15-point halftime deficit by holding the Hawks to just 20 points in the third quarter, before going ice-cold in the fourth quarter where they managed just 15 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Rockets are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games playing on zero days’ rest, 8-21 ATS in their last 29 home games and 16-36 ATS in their last 52 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings overall and the Warriors are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Warriors have really been in a funk lately and they could really do with a win as they’ve lost five of their last six, but that’s nothing compared to the nightmare the Rockets have been living as they’ve lost 17 in a row. The Warriors are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and they should be good enough to bounce back into form with a much-needed win over the slumping Rockets.
