The San Antonio Spurs pay a visit to the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Monday night. Here’s a Spurs vs Rockets Prediction.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in terrible form as they’ve now lost 16 in a row after coming up short against the Bulls in a 121-112 loss on Friday. Victor Wembanyama led the team with 21 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks, Keldon Johnson added 20 points with five assists while Tre Jones chipped in with 18 points and eight assists off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 17 of 42 from the 3-point line as they had the better of the Bulls in the first half and actually led by 13 points, but they were poor on the defensive end coming out of the break and allowed 69 points in the second half to to end up short once again.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after taking down the Nuggets in a 114-06 road win on Friday. Fred VanVleet led the team with 26 points, Jalen Green added 25 points on eight of 17 shooting, Alperen Sengun scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists while Dillon Brooks chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Rockets shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 39 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they kept the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic in check in the first half, before they exploded for 40 points in the third quarter to pull away and deliver the Nuggets their first home defeat of the season.

Spurs vs Rockets Prediction

The Houston Rockets could be shorthanded for this one with Dillon Brooks and Tari Eason both listed as questionable, but they still open as heavy favorites, especially after they beat the Nuggets on Friday. The Spurs have now lost 16 in a row and it’s because they never play a full 48 minutes as we saw against the Bulls where they dominated the first half, only to get blown out in the second half. The Rockets have been one of the surprise teams of the league and I think they will make light work of this one.
