We continue today’s NBA prop picks with the Jazz vs Knicks Player Prop Bets on Tuesday, January 30. The Utah Jazz will be playing the second game of a back-to-back set after losing to the Nets last night, while the New York Knicks are searching for the eighth straight victory.
Jazz vs Knicks Player Prop Bets – Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 Threes Made (-147)
I know the odds are not attractive, but this pick is a slam dunk. Jalen Brunson is the Knicks’ leader in several categories and is having the season of his career. Brunson averages a team-high 26.7 ppg and 6.5 apg, while he averages a career-high 2.8 threes per contest.
Now, there are numerous reasons why I believe this pick will hit. The Knicks are playing without Julius Randle, while OG Anunoby missed the last game and is questionable to play tonight. That means Brunson will take 25-30 shots against the Jazz, and I am sure at least three will drop from downtown.
Utah allows 14.1 three-pointers per game – the second-worst perimeter defense this season. The Jazz allow 2.9 threes per contest to the opposing point guards. Considering the current situation on the Knicks, I wouldn’t be surprised if Brunson takes up to 10 shots from beyond the arc here. He made 3+ threes in six of the previous 12 outings.
Josh Hart Over 24.5 Points, Assists, and Rebounds (-125)
Another Knick found his place in the Jazz vs Knicks Player Prop Bets piece for today. Josh Hart is a versatile player who can fill the stat sheet. I don’t expect him to explode offensively with 20+ points, but he should contribute with rebounds and assists.
With the Knicks being shorthanded, Hart will get an opportunity to impress on both ends of the floor. In the last two games, he combined for 25+ PTS, AST, and REB, while he logged 32+ minutes in each. Hart will likely get 32-35 minutes against Utah, in what should be a favorable matchup for him.
The Jazz allow 22.0 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 4.5 apg to the opposing small forwards. Hart has a matchup against Simone Fontecchio, which is great for Hart’s backers, including myself. Don’t be surprised if Hart records his third triple-double of the season in this one.
