The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Portland Trailblazers at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Portland Trailblazers have been in decent shape so far as they’ve split their first 10 games and they will be looking to build on their current two-game win streak after making light work of the Lakers in a 105-90 home win on Saturday. Damian Lillard broke out his shooting slump to finish with 25 points and six assists on nine of 19 shooting, Jusuf Nurkic added 15 points with 17 rebounds and three steals while Norman Powell chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot just 37 percent from the field and 15 of 55 from the 3-point line which are terrible figures, but their defense was on point as they took control of the game early after holding the Lakers to just 14 points in the first quarter before exploding for 42 points in the third quarter themselves to build a 34-point lead. The only real blemish from what was a fantastic win was the shooting of CJ McCollum who made just three of 15 from the field to finish with seven points.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have endured a rough start to the season, but they’re now on a bit of a run as they will be looking to build on their four-game win streak after routing the Hornets in a 120-106 home win on Sunday. Paul George led the team with 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, Reggie Jackson added 19 points with six assists, Luke Kennard provided 18 points off the bench while Terance Mann racked up 17 points with 10 rebounds. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 18 of 48 from the 3-point line as they fell behind early after allowing 39 points in a sloppy first quarter, but they worked their way back into the contest, before making their move in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Hornets by 31-19 to win comfortably in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 0-6 ATS in their last six road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Clippers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a win of more than 10 points.

Head to head, the Trailblazers are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Trailblazers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.

The Trailblazers come into this meeting with some momentum after blowing apart the Lakers in their last outing and it was so good to see Lillard regain his shooting touch, given how important he is to the team. The Clippers are coming into this game as the team in better form as they’ve reeled off fourth straight wins, but all of those wins have come against opponents who won’t be in the hunt this season. This is a tough one to pick, but the Trailblazers have lost all four of their road games so far, so I’m sticking with the Clippers to get their fifth straight victory here.
