Anthony Edwards led the team with 34 points on 12 of 24 shooting, Ricky Rubio added 15 points with seven assists, Jaylen Nowell scored 14 points while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 49 percent from the field and 13 of 38 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to build a 14-point lead, before holding on for the narrow win as the Trailblazers poured in 40 points in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent form lately as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be looking for a third straight victory after last night’s 128-97 road win over the Warriors. Montrezl Harrell led the team in scoring with 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting, LeBron James racked up a triple-double of 22 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists while Talen Horton-Tucker chipped in with 18 points and 10 assists. As a team, the Lakers shot a sizzling 62 percent from the field and 11 of 27 from the 3-point line as they poured in 36 points in the second quarter to take a 15-point into halftime, before running away with it in the fourth quarter as they finished in a flurry.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are starting to heat up again and they looked dominant in last night’s win over the Wizards. The Timberwolves have the advantage of extra rest in this one, but the Lakers were hardly pushed last night and I like their chances of a third straight win here.
