Charlotte Hornets Betting Preview
The Charlotte Hornets have been in pretty good shape lately as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after making light work of the 76ers in a 130-93 home win on Monday. Brandon Miller led the team with 30 points on nine of 11 shooting, Ryan Kalkbrenner added 13 points with nine rebounds and three blocks while Kon Knueppel chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Hornets shot a healthy 57 percent from the field and 17 of 41 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 41 points in the second quarter to take a 25-point lead into halftime and they just didn’t show any mercy, dominating the third quarter by 40-15 to open up a 50-point lead.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a terrible slump as they’ve lost 10 of their last 13 games overall and they will be looking to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting beaten by the Rockets in a 108-99 road defeat on Monday. Jaren Jackson Jr led the team with 17 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, Santi Aldama added 17 points while GG Jackson chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot a miserly 37 percent from the field and seven of 37 from the 3-point line which are horrible shooting figures, but they played great defense to hold the lead for most of the game, until the Rockets opened the fourth quarter on a 21-9 run to steal the lead and all the momentum. Cedric Coward had a rough game as he shot just three of 13 from the field for his eight points while Vince Williams Jr shot just three of 15 for his seven points.

The Hornets are still missing Mason Plumlee and KJ Simpson, while the Grizzlies have ruled out Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Scotty Pippen Jr and Ja Morant. The Hornets were so bad for so long that we’ve just gotten accustomed to them losing games, but they’ve actually been playing some great basketball lately and open as clear favorites against this severely depleted Grizzlies team who have won just three of their past 13 games. It wouldn’t be shocking if the Grizzlies pulled off the upset at home despite all the injuries, but the Hornets have quietly been on a nice run and I think it continues with another win in this spot.
