The Detroit Pistons and the Memphis Grizzlies duke it out at the FedExForum on Friday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last seven games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling just short to the red-hot Pelicans in a 104-98 road loss on Wednesday. Saddiq Bey led the team with 25 points on nine of 17 shooting off the bench, Killian Hayes added 17 points with 12 assists while Alec Burks chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot just 38 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line as they scored just 15 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 13 points going into halftime, before they rallied to get within three points late in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last seven games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after blowing past the Thunder in a 123-102 home win on Wednesday. Ja Morant led the team with a triple-double of 26 points with 13 rebounds and 11 assists, Dillon Brooks added 24 points while Brandon Clarke provided the spark off the bench with 17 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line but they took the early lead, but they really couldn’t gain any separation until the fourth quarter where they held the Thunder to just 15 points to make it a blowout in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 road games, 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Grizzlies are 36-16 ATS in their last 52 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Memphis, the Pistons are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Memphis and the Pistons are 6-20 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall.

The Pistons will again be without Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Livers, while the Grizzlies are still missing Desmond Bane and Steven Adams is listed as questionable. The Pistons deserve plenty of credit for how they were able to hang with the Conference-leading Pelicans on Wednesday, but the Grizzlies are coming into this one gunning for a fifth straight victory. The Pistons are only 6-20 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall and I think that trend continues here as the Grizzlies should be too good.
