The Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks do battle at the Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night.
The Detroit Pistons have been in terrible form as they’ve lost six of their first seven games and they will be hoping to stop a two-game skid after falling to the Bucks in a 125-115 road loss on Monday. Jerami Grant led the team with 24 points on 10 of 25 shooting, Derrick Rose added 24 points with eight assists off the bench while Wayne Ellington chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Pistons shot just 43 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Bucks for three quarters, until they scored 35 points in the fourth quarter to keep the final score respectable. Blake Griffin was rested for Monday but he is expected to be available for Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks will be aiming for a third straight victory after Monday’s easy win over the Pistons. Giannis Antetoukounmpo led the way with 43 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Khris Middleton added 19 points with nine rebounds and four assists while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 15 points and seven assists. As a team, the Bucks shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line and that’s largely due to the duo of Antetounmpo and Middleton who combined to shoot 24 of 34 from the field.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 10-23-1 ATS in their last 34 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team below .400 and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Pistons are 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Milwaukee and the Pistons are 8-20-2 ATS in the last 30 meetings overall.
The Bucks just about had it all their way in the win on Monday as the Pistons just way to stop Antetokounmpo who torched them for an efficient 43 points. Griffin returns for this one which is a boost for the Pistons, but I just don’t feel it will be enough against the Bucks in this mood. The line seems a little hefty, but I don’t see anything but another easy win for the Bucks here.
