As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 37 percent from the field and 20 of 54 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and trailed for most of the contest, before they flipped the script with a pivotal 16-5 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good and escape with the solid win to improve to 4-15 at home this season. The Grizzlies will meet the Bulls after this game.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards led the team with 27 points each, Jaden McDaniels added 23 points while Rudy Gobert tallied 19 points with 16 rebounds. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 50 percent from the field and 15 of 30 from the 3-point line as they held the Pistons to just 22 points in the second quarter to take the early lead, but they couldn’t shake the Pistons until the fourth quarter where they went on a run to build a 17-point lead. The Grizzlies have managed to keep their heads above water despite the growing injury list and they were good enough to beat the Warriors thanks to big games from role players like Williams and Jackson, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort against this red-hot Timberwolves team. It’s hard to see anything but an easy win for the Timberwolves at home even though they’re playing on zero days rest, but even though I have them winning, I still think the Grizzlies hang around long enough to get the cover at home.
