The Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans meet Friday in NBA action at the Visa Athletic Center.

The Washington Wizards need a bounce back win here to snap a four-game losing streak. The Washington Wizards are averaging 115 points on 46 percent shooting and allowing 119.4 points on 48.9 percent shooting. Rui Hachimura is averaging 13.2 points and 6.1 rebounds while Jordan McRae is averaging 12.8 points and 2.8 assists. Thomas Bryant is the third double-digit scorer and Shabazz Napier is dishing 3.9 assists. The Washington Wizards are shooting 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 78.6 percent from the free thitem line. The Washington Wizards are allowing 37.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.8 rebounds per game.

The New Orleans Pelicans also need a victory here after losing three of their last four games. The New Orleans Pelicans are averaging 115.8 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allowing 117.1 points on 46.5 percent shooting. Brandon Ingram is averaging 24.1 points and 4.2 assists while Zion Williamson is averaging 22.3 points and 6.4 rebounds. The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing 35.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.8 rebounds per game.

The Wizards are 11-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings in New Orleans and 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings. The under is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings in New Orleans and 19-7 in the last 26 meetings.

The Washington Wizards put up a good fight against the 76ers, but the bottom line is that this may not even be a G League roster in terms of all the players not playing, and they don’t have the horses to hang with any of these clubs in the bubble for 48 minutes. The New Orleans Pelicans have had issues of their own and can’t be thrilled about blowing a game to the Sacramento Kings yesterday, but they have a layup in this matchup and have to take advantage of it.

If the Pelicans can’t win this game comfortably, something is wrong.
