The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder collide at the Paycom Center on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won two of their past three games overall and they will be looking to build some momentum after taking down the Warriors in a 115-104 win on Sunday. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 31 points and seven assists, Darius Garland added 24 points with seven assists while Evan Mobley tallied 13 points with 16 rebounds. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line, but this win was about their defense as they were always in control after limiting the Warriors to just 15 points in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have won four of their first seven overall and they will be eager to keep it going after outlasting the Hawks in a 126-117 home win on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 39 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Jalen Williams added 21 points, Luguentz Dort scored 19 points while Chet Holmgren chipped in with 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line as they kept the Hawks in check in the first half to take the early lead, before they poured in 38 points in the third quarter to open a 19-point lead.

The Cavaliers are again missing Sam Merrill, Ty Jerome and Isaac Okoro, while the Thunder are keeping an eye on Ousmane Dieng who is questionable for this one. The Cavaliers are finally moving now and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their gritty win over the Warriors on Sunday. The Thunder have been ticking along nicely with four wins in their first seven games and it’s been a balanced offense as they’re getting contributions from everyone. It’s tempting to take the Thunder as the home underdog, but the Cavaliers looked great in their last game and they will be well-rested as they havent played since Sunday, so I’ll back the Cavaliers in a close one.
