Anthony Edwards led the team with 32 points and 12 assists on 12 of 18 shooting, Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns each scored 19 points while Naz Reid chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 57 percent from the field and 14 of 26 from the 3-point line as they seemed to be in full control when they poured in 36 points in the first quarter to build a 15-point lead, but they never put the Spurs away and it cost them in the end with the Spurs rallying all the way back to steal the game on a clutch free throw from Keldon Johnson with just 9.0 seconds remaining.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 31 points on 13 of 20 shooting, Jalen Williams added 20 points while Josh Giddey chipped in with 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 47 percent from the field and eight of 28 from the 3-point line, but they weren’t at their usual standards on the defensive end as they were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 46 points in the second quarter. Chet Holmgren had a quiet game of just nine points on four of 11 shooting while Luguentz Dort finished with just six points on two of five shooting. The Thunder will face the Nuggets after this game.

The Timberwolves were on a nice run before they squandered a 15-point lead to the lowly Spurs in a bad loss on Saturday and you could say the same about the Thunder who won nine of 11 before getting routed by the ice-cold Pistons in an ugly loss last night. The Timberwolves will be so disappointed with their loss to the Spurs, but they have a chance to make up for it here against a Thunder team who are playing their second game of a back to back set. It’s hard to split these two at the moment, but the Thunder have won their last seven games at home and I think that streak continues here.
