Malik Monk was a real spark plug as he led the team with 23 points on nine of 13 shooting off the bench, Domantas Sabonis racked up a triple-double of 17 points with 17 rebounds and 10 assists, Keegan Murray added 17 points while De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 15 points, 10 assists and five steals. As a team, the Kings shot a healthy 58 percent from the field and 17 of 34 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early with 35 points in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead into halftime, before they dominated the second half by 68-49 to pull off one of their best wins of the season.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting thrashed by the Mavericks in a 146-111 road loss last night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team wtih 25 points, six rebounds and five assists, Cason Wallace added 15 points off the bench while Chet Holmgren chipped in with 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot just 38 percent from the field and 17 of 47 from the 3-point line, but they weren’t switched on to start the game and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 47 points in the first quarter alone. Josh Giddey had a rough game as he shot just three of 14 from the field for his 11 points while Ousmane Dieng finished with just three points on one of nine shooting off the bench.

The Kings come into this meeting as the team in better recent form, they’ve already beaten the Thunder twice in two close games this season and they have the advantage of extra rest following their big win over the Nuggets on Friday. The Thunder still open as favorites as they’ve been the more consistent team all season, but it’s going to be tough to catch up to these Kings if they get off to another sloppy start. This should be a close one, but I like the Kings to pull off the minor upset on the road in this spot.
