The Phoenix Suns invade the Amway Center to do battle with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

The Phoenix Suns have been on fire as they’ve won nine of their past 11 games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Heat in a 110-100 road win last night. Devin Booker led the team with 23 points on 10 of 19 shooting, DeAndre Ayton added 17 points with 16 rebounds and three blocks while Jae Crowder chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 37 from the 3-point line as they held the Heat to just 43 points in the first half to lead by as many as 23 points, before taking their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter as the starters rested. Devin Booker and Chris Paul played just 27 minutes each as the Suns were hardly threatened in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost 11 of their past 12 games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Nuggets in a 110-99 home loss last night. Evan Fournier led the team with 31 points and six assists on 10 of 18 shooting, Nikola Vucevic added 18 points on eight of 25 shooting while Al-Farouq Aminu chipped in with 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Magic shot 44 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line, but they were always fighting a losing battle after a slow start saw them trailing by 22 points at halftime, before pouring in 30 points in the third quarter to keep the final scores respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games, 5-0 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest and 38-14 ATS in their last 52 games overall. The Magic are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall and the Suns are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Orlando.

The Suns have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league and they hardly broke a sweat against the Heat last night with key players Booker and Paul allowed to rest early. Meanwhile, the Magic haven’t been able to buy a win these days as they’ve lost 11 of their last 12 and they could’ve easily gotten blown out big time last night. The Suns are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Orlando and there’s no reason to think that trend won’t continue here. Give me the Suns by double-digits.
