I selected two players for the Pacers vs Suns NBA Player Props for Sunday, January 21. Both players play for the home team, the Phoenix Suns, who welcome the Indiana Pacers, looking to extend the winning streak to five games. The Pacers, on the other hand, lost three of the last four games.

Pacers vs Suns NBA Player Props – Grayson Allen Over 1.5 Steals and Blocks (-114)

Bettors usually look for player points when it comes to props, but this one is interesting for a few reasons. Grayson Allen is enjoying the best season of his career in his first year with the Suns. Not only he is averaging career-best in points, field goal, rebounds, and assists, but Allen’s defensive numbers improved since his time with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Allen is averaging 0.9 steals per game and 0.7 blocks per game this season. He failed to record a block or a steal in just two of the last 24 games. In the previous three, Allen had four steals and four blocks, while he managed to contribute offensively big time, scoring 20+ in two of those three games.

Allen is a starter in Phoenix and is logging a career-high 33.4 minutes per game, which is six minutes more than the last season with the Bucks. He is the team’s third-best stealer and fourth-best blocker, so I think Allen has a good chance to combine for at least two steals and blocks in this one.

Indiana is allowing 1.36 spg and 0.87 bpg to the opposing small forwards – another good omen for this pick.

Jusuf Nurkic to Record a Double-Double (-125)

Jusuf Nurkic averages a double-double per game this season. With 12.2 ppg and 10.6 rpg, the Bosnian center is a solid option for the Suns in the paint. In five of the last six games, Nurkic had 12+ rebounds, while he recorded three double-doubles in that stretch.

Now, Nurkic has a tricky matchup against Myles Turner, one of the best defending big guys in the NBA. That’s why I will avoid backing Nurkic on points – all we need is ten points from him. Jusuf is averaging 2.8 offensive boards per game, and although Turner is a great paint defender, I expect Nurkic to grab a couple of offensive rebounds.

The Pacers are sixth-best in the NBA when it comes to allowed rebounds to the opposing centers (13.60). Still, Nurkic will play 30+ minutes here because Bol Bol is injured, and aside from Chimezie Metu and Drew Eubanks, Phoenix doesn’t have other big guys on the active roster. Given he is the tallest guy on the floor for the Suns, most of Indiana’s missed shots will fall to his hands.

Hopefully, you liked my Pacers vs Suns NBA Player Props for Sunday, January 21. If you are looking for more, check out Nuggets vs Wizards NBA Player Props and find out which three players I picked.
