The Los Angeles Clippers and the San Antonio Spurs do battle once again at the AT&T Center on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers haven’t been at their absolute best lately, but they’ve done well to win four of their last five games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight win after routing the Spurs in a 134-101 road win last night. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 25 points, seven rebounds and five steals, Marcus Morris added 20 points, Paul George scored 17 points while Lou Williams chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Clippers shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 17 of 33 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 41 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early double-digit lead, before outscoring the Spurs by 31-17 in the fourth quarter to make it a complete blowout.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have split their last eight games, but they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting blown out by the Clippers last night. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 19 points, Patty Mills scored 17 points while Derrick White chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Spurs shot just 45 percent from the field and seven of 22 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and were always fighting an uphill battle after the Clippers got off to a quick start. Dejounte Murray scored just nine points on four of 12 shooting while Keldon Johnson scored just five points on two of seven shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 7-0 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest. The Spurs are 1-5 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

The Clippers made it look easy last night against the Spurs, but it’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row and in their own building. I expect the Spurs to come out firing after a slow start cost them last night, but the Clippers are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest and I think that trend continues here as the Clippers win again.

The Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs meet Thursday in NBA action at the AT&T Center.

The Los Angeles Clippers look for a win after winning five of their last seven games. The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 114.8 points on 48.3 percent shooting and allowing 109.3 points on 47 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 25.9 points and 6.3 rebounds while Paul George is averaging 22.5 points and six rebounds. Marcus Morris Sr. is the third double-digit scorer and Lou Williams is grabbing 2.1 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 41.4 percent from beyond the arc and 84.4 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 36.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44 rebounds per game.

The San Antonio Spurs need a win here to snap a three-game losing streak. The San Antonio Spurs are averaging 110 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 110.1 points on 46.5 percent shooting. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 20.6 points and 4.5 rebounds while Dejounte Murray is averaging 15.6 points and seven rebounds. Keldon Johnson is the third double-digit scorer and Patty Mills is dishing 2.5 assists. The San Antonio Spurs are shooting 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 78.8 percent from the free throw line. The San Antonio Spurs are allowing 37.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.2 rebounds per game.

TheClippers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games. The Spurs are 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games as an underdog and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The over is 9-4-1 in Clippers last 14 Thursday games. The under is 7-2 in Spurs last 9 home games.

The Los Angeles Clippers just comfortably beat the Spurs last night and they’ve covered seven straight games on the end of a back to back. The San Antonio Spurs have now lost three straight games and they lose at home by an average of 1.2 points. The Clippers can be unpredictable at times and scary to trust with decent sized chalk, but they had their way with the Spurs 24 hours ago and are easily the better team when healthy. I’ll lay the chalk.
