Team DRC vs. Herd That

Herd That and Team DRC open up their TBT 2021 tournament with an opening-round game on Saturday in the West Virginia Regional at the Charleston Coliseum. Herd That is the third-ranked team in the region while Team DRC is ranked 14th.
Herd That is a team that is filled with mostly Marshall College Alumni, and has a lot of confidence coming into this year’s tournament. Last season, Herd That shocked a lot of people by finishing with a 2-1 record. They’re a team that likes to push the pace and shoot a bunch of three-pointers — very much like they did during their Marshall days. Ot Elmore was the star of Herd That last year, and if HT wants to win this game, Elmore is going to need to be hitting his shots from deep. Jon Elmore and JaCorey Williams are also going to be key players for Herd That.
On the other side of this matchup is Team DRC, which is sponsored by NFL standout Dominique Rogers-Cromartie. Team DRC is a team that has a 4-2 record overall, and last season they almost won the Richmond regional. Mike Morrison and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick are the two offensive standouts for Team DRC, and they will be needed for this matchup. A strong defense would be helpful, especially early, to keep Herd That from dominating from the three point line.
I expect very little defense played by either team, so this game will be a shootout. Look for both teams to run up the score and for this game to go over the total.
