The Portland Trail Blazers are starting to heat up now as they’ve reeled off three wins in their past four outings and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Cavaliers in a 103-95 road win on Thursday. Shaedon Sharpe led the team with 29 points, 10 rebounds and five assists on 11 of 15 shooting, Jerami Grant added 13 points while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 11 points and seven assists. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they scored just 18 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 16 points, but they kept their composure and flipped the game on its head with a 63-49 second half push to pull off the unlikely road win.

Simone Fontecchio led the team with 16 points and five assists, Collin Sexton added 14 points off the bench while Ochai Agbaji added 13 points while Keyonte George chipped in with 12 points on four of 19 shooting. As a team, the Jazz shot just 37 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Timberwolves in a tightly contested first half, only to allow their hard work to go to waste in the third quarter where they got outscored by 35-19 to fall behind by as many as 20 points in this one.

It’s really hard to back either team with much confidence this season, but the Trail Blazers should be the slight favorites in this one with their recent uptick in form and the fact that the Jazz are severely shorthanded. Give me the Trail Blazers to pull off the minor upset on the road in this one.
