The Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards meet Saturday in NBA preseason action at HP Field House.

The Los Angeles Clippers look for another scrimmage victory after beating the Orlando Magic in their first contest. The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 116.2 points on 46.4 percent shooting and allowing 109.7 points on 43.6 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 26.9 points and 7.3 rebounds while Paul George is averaging 21 points and 3.9 assists. Lou Williams is the third double-digit scorer and Montrezl Harrell is grabbing 7.1 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 36.6 percent from beyond the arc and 79.2 percent from the free thitem line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 34.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 48 rebounds per game.

The Washington Wizards look for a bounce back performance after losing their opening scrimmage to the Denver Nuggets. The Washington Wizards are averaging 115.6 points on 46.1 percent shooting and allowing 119.7 points on 49 percent shooting. Bradley Beal is averaging 30.5 points and 6.1 assists while Davis Bertans is averaging 15.4 points and 4.5 rebounds. Rui Hachimura is the third double-digit scorer and Thomas Bryant is grabbing 6.8 rebounds. The Washington Wizards are shooting 37.2 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free thitem line. The Washington Wizards are allowing 37.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.7 rebounds per game.

The Los Angeles Clippers are seeing more and more of their players leave the bubble to attend family issues, as they’re now without Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. That’s a lot of depth on the Clippers side, and when you thitem in the fact Kawhi and Paul George will play only so many minutes, you’re basically relying on the Clippers bench players to earn you a victory. Even knowing that, I can’t get behind the Washington Wizards, a team that’s not good no matter how you slice it and was just held to 82 points in its first scrimmage. With no Beal or Bertans in these scrimmages, the Wizards aren’t fielding an NBA roster in these practice games.

Even undermanned, I want the Clippers in this contest.
