The Washington Wizards play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Capital One Arena on Monday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 13 of their past 14 games and they will be hoping to put an end to a 10-game losing streak after falling short to the Raptors in a 112-106 road loss last night. Luguentz Dort led the team with 29 points on nine of 15 shooting, Darius Bazley added 16 points with eight assists while Kenrich Williams chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nice start with 59 points in the first half to lead by 12 points, before running out of gas in the third quarter where they managed just 21 points. Ty Jerome finished with nine points on three of 10 shooting while Aleksej Pokusevski scored just eight points on four of 14 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in great form lately as they’ve won six of their past seven games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after routing the Pistons in a 121-100 home win on Saturday. Bradley Beal led the team with 37 points on 13 of 22 shooting, Ish Smith added 16 points off the bench while Russell Westbrook tallied a triple-double of 15 points with 14 rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 53 percent from the field and nine of 16 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 34 points in the second quarter and they were able to build on that lead in the second half where they poured in 60 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 0-6 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 6-0 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Washington and the Thunder are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Washington. 

The Thunder just haven’t been able to buy a win these days, but they’ve been more than competitive in their last two games which they lost by only six points. However, the Wizards have sprung to life with six wins in their last seven outings and they should have no trouble getting their fifth straight win with Westbrook and Beal both in red-hot form.
