The Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings meet Sunday in NFL action from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Here’s a Vikings vs Colts prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Vikings vs Colts pick.

Indianapolis Colts Betting Preview

The Colts have been a mixed bag for most of the year, and they’ve been mired in fighting off the .500 mark in the record column. Indianapolis started with consecutive losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, then beat the Houston Texans and Washington Commanders. After a loss to the Steelers Indy was sitting at 2-3 through five games.

In last Sunday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans, the Colts did a bit of scoring in the second quarter and headed into the locker room with a 13-0 lead. Indy gave up 20 unanswered points from there though, and eventually lost a tough one 26-20. QB Daniel Jones was 22-of-42 for 269 yards, one TD and two picks. Johnathan Taylor had 94 rush yards and a score.

Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

Over on the Vikings’ side, they rolled into their (pretty early) bye week on a great run. Minnesota opened up the season with five straight victories, taking out the rival Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears in the first two. Next came three more wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints for that perfect 5-0 run thus far.

Back on October 11 versus the Saints, the Vikings had a couple of field goals in the first half on the way to a 7-6 halftime deficit. Minnesota added a couple more touchdowns and a field goal after that on the way to a 23-13 win. QB Kyler Murray was 24-of-30 for 229 yards and a TD. Aaron Jones led the rush in the victory with 25 carries for 113 yards and a score.

Vikings vs Colts Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Vikings. Minnesota held the Saints in check during their last outing, giving up just nine first downs and a 2-of-10 success rate on third-down tries alongside 142 total yards. Offensively the Vikings came up with 364 yards and 18 first downs in the 10-point victory. Minnesota is on a nice roll right now but they’re not necessarily blowing teams out to get their wins. Three of the five have come by one score.

As for Indianapolis, they took a weird loss to Tennessee last weekend despite giving up only 11 first downs, 21:26 in time of possession and 186 total yards on defense. The three turnovers torpedoed an otherwise solid offensive day for the Colts on 24 first downs and 399 yards. This matchup will be even tougher.
