The Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers meet on Saturday in NFL Divisional Round postseason action from Levi’s Stadium. Green Bay managed to go just 9-8 this regular season, eking into the playoffs on a Wild Card berth. The Packers would then stun the Cowboys in an upset win last weekend. As for San Francisco, they’re coming off a 12-5 campaign for a first-place finish in the NFC West. Let’s get into our Packers vs. 49ers prediction. Green Bay Packers

The Packers managed a rough 3-6 stretch to start out their regular-season campaign. Green Bay found their form later in the year however, winning six of their final eight games versus the Chargers, Lions, Chiefs, Panthers, Vikings and Bears. In their Wild Card Round matchup versus the heavily-favored Cowboys, Green Bay jumped out to a 27-7 edge by halftime. The Packers were able to hang on for a stunning 48-32 victory. Quarterback Jordan Love finished with 272 yards and three scores, while Aaron Jones rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns of his own. ANDREW’S FREE PACKERS VS 49ERS PREDICTION

I’ll take a stab on the Packers here. Green Bay has really found their stride over the last nine games, and they’re playing their best football of the season right now. In the win over the Cowboys, the Packers gave up 510 yards (387 passing) and 37 first downs but much of it came late in the game during garbage time. Green Bay was otherwise able to minimize the damage with two turnovers and a defensive score. That makes 33 or more points in three of the last four games for the Packers, and they’re likely going to have to keep that run going on Saturday.

As for San Francisco, they’ve been fairly quiet on the scoreboard over the past three games with 20 or fewer points in two of those matchups. That said, the 49ers will be ready for this one and well-rested for a comfortable game at Levi’s Stadium. In all likelihood San Francisco will win this one, but I think Green Bay can get close enough to cover if they continue to play well.
