For tonight’s final NHL props piece, we have the Blues vs Kraken Player Prop Bets on Friday, January 26. The St. Louis Blues are hoping to get the fourth win in a row for the first time this season when they visit the Seattle Kraken, who lost four of the previous five games.
Blues vs Kraken Player Prop Bets – Robert Thomas Over 0.5 Assists (-110)
Robert Thomas is the best player on the Blues roster this season. He has 49 points so far, 15 more than Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich. He also leads the teams in assists with 33, and although he failed to score in nine straight games, Thomas managed to register at least an assist in five of the past seven and each of the last three.
St. Louis’ center had five assists in those three games, and is clear that he looks for a pass rather than scoring. That’s a massive quality for an offensive player, and that’s why I back him to add one more dish on Friday.
In the lone H2H against Seattle this season, Robert recorded an assist. In seven H2Hs in his career, Thomas has eight points, five of which were assists. Thomas logged below 20 minutes in just one of the last 14 games, which gives me hope he will stay long enough on the ice to contribute one more dime.
Pavel Buchnevich Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-136)
Pavel Buchnevich is the joint second-best point-maker on the Blues with 34 points. Although he failed to impress recently, recording only two points in the previous six games, Buchnevich is aggressive enough on offense. He attempted 3+ shots in five of the past six outings. Pavel scored just once in that stretch, so my advice is to avoid backing him to score a goal here.
The Blues are not a highly efficient team on offense, but they do rely on a thrilling of players to create goals – Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, and Pavel Buchnevich. The good thing for Pavel is that he gets nearly 20 minutes on the ice per game. Only Thomas gets more when it comes to offensive players.
He is more than capable of attempting at least three shots in 20 minutes against the Kraken, who conceded 3+ goals in five of the last six games. With Buchnevich, I conclude the Blues vs Kraken Player Prop Bets piece.
