Wimbledon: Coco Gauff vs. Kaja Juvan 7/3/21 Tennis Prediction

Will Coco Gauff continue to win her matches with some ease here in Wimbledon as she wants to continue improving her level at grand slams, or will Kaja Juvan cause the big upset and shock us all to make her way to the fourth round?

Kaja Juvan beat the qualifier, Burel, quite easily in the second round, winning in 2 sets 6-3/6-4. Kaja Juvan will want to continue winning matches as she is in strong form, but she will also know that if she wants to find her best level she needs to go on hard court smaller tournaments where she actually has a chance to compete. Now that Juvan meets the very in form Coco Gauff, she will have to ensure she is at her peak and that she does not let anything go easily because Coco Gauff will make her pay for short or slow balls.

Coco Gauff was very good in her second round match, beating Elena Vesnina in 2 sets without issues 6-4/6-3. Elena Vesnina is not an easy opponent and Coco was able to just use her dominant hard hitting game to get the win under her belt quickly. Coco Gauff will know that it is important to get these matches done quickly early on to build the confidence in her game before more important matches later on, and she has shown us this over the last 2 grand slams as she is maturing as a player and showing us how good she really is.

This is going to be the 3^rd meeting between both players, with both of them having won one encounter against each other. Coco was the player who got the most recent win out of the two, beating her earlier this year. Juvan beat Coco in 2019. I expect a tight match because Juvan is no joke when she is at her best, and she will know that she has beaten Coco before so she will have that belief in herself. However, Coco is much better than when they met both times in the past, therefore she will come out here and show Juvan a level of tennis she hasn’t seen yet and win.
