Which of these two grand slam champions will come out here and show us that they have been the better player here at Wimbledon over the last fortnight? Will it be the former Wimbledon champion, Angelique Kerber, or will it be the younger world No.1, Ashleigh Barty?

Angelique Kerber has been finding her best form here at Wimbledon, getting herself some easy wins under her belt against some big name players, such as Karolina Muchova in the quarter finals, beating her in 2 sets 6-2/6-3. Angelique has so much experience at this level and it is great to see her playing like this again after a few years of issues with injuries and confidence in her game. Angelique knows she can win if shes at her best, but she will also have to ensure she comes ready to fight from the start as she has a tough opponent in Ashleigh Barty.

Ashleigh Barty will want to keep her superb form going here at Wimbledon as she has been showing us a superb level on grass through her incredible slice backhand and patient play. Ashleigh is proving time and time again why she is the world no.1, showing incredible consistency in any tournament she enters, no matter whether is is played on hard, clay, or grass, no matter whether she has had any tournament preparation. Ashleigh is the real deal and she will want to show that by giving herself a shot at her second grand slam title.

This is going to be the 5^th meeting between both players, with both of them having won 2 matches against each other. They are both experienced players who both deserve to be in the final, however, Ashleigh has been the much more consistent player all throughout the tournament in my opinion. Angelique can definitely cause the upset if Barty comes out not playing as she has all Wimbledon, but I don’t see that happening, and Barty will come out ready to give it her best and get herself in the Final.
