Alex De Minaur is coming off a one set win over Yosuke Watanuki that took 10 games to decide. Molcan won 58 percent of his total service points and converted on five of his nine break points. Molcan got 52 percent of his first serves in play and saved three of his five break points. Molcan has to be better with his serve this time around, but he’s won all three sets this tournament, so he’s doing something right. Molcan looks to make his second final appearance of the year and the third final appearance of his career. Molcan has split his last eight matches on clay court.

Molcan has finally put things together with three straight wins, but this match is a step-up in competition, and we can’t ignore the fact he lost four of his last five matches entering this tournament. De Minaur is comfortably the better player at the moment, and he’s the fresher player given the short quarterfinal match.
