Minnesota Lynx vs . Atlanta Dream

The Atlanta Dream and Minneosta Lynx face off on Wednesday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the Gateway Center Arena. These two teams have faced off twice so far this year, and the Lynx have won each of the games.
The Minnesota Lynx come into this game with a 5-7 record overall which puts them in 5th place in the Western Conference standings. The Minnesota Lynx have been inconsistent this year, but over their last four games, they have a 2-2 record. In the last game though against the Dallas Wings, it was ugly as the defense gave up 95 points and they were defeated. The Lynx on the season are averaging 81.4 points per game while their defense is giving up 82.4 points per game. Napheesa Collier has been the best player for Minnesota, averaging 17.7 points while shooting 45.7 percent from the field but only 24.2 percent from deep. Five different players are averaging at least 10 points per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Atlanta Dream who also sit with a 57 record overall which puts them in 5th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Coming into this game the Atlanta Dream have one big issue, Tiffany Hayes their top scorer is expected to miss four to six weeks with a knee injury. Coming into this game the Dream have lost three of their last four games. The last game for Atlanta was against Washington, and they were defeated 96-93. On the season, the Dream are averaging 84.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 87.3 points per game. Courtney Williams will be the best player on the floor for the Dream in this game averaging 16.9 points while shooting 40.5 percent from behind the three-point line.
Without Hayes playing for the Dream, the Lynx are going to have no issue getting the job done. Back the Lynx to come away with a victory because of their offense, and they will also cover the spread.
