The Washington Mystics and Connecticut Sun face off on Tuesday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. These two teams have faced off twice this year and it was the Sun who have won each of the games.

As of late, the defense has been even better, and they need the defense to lock down again in this game. Jonquel Jones has been the player for the Sun averaging 19.8 points while shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from behind the three-point line. 

The Washington Mystics have been inconsistent and they currently sit with a 10-15 record overall which puts them in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. In the Mystics last game they were able to beat the Dallas WIngs by a point even though Elena Delle-Donne missed the game. It’s unclear in this game if Delle-Donne will be able to go in this game. Washington on the season is averaging 80.6 points per game while their defense is giving up 83 points per game. Tina Charles is also out for this game, so there is a chance two of their top three players will miss this game. Ariel Atkins comes into this game averaging 15.4 points per game while shooting 39.3 percent from the field. 

The injuries for the Mystics are an issue, and the Connecticut Sun’s defense will lock down in this game. The Sun’s offense will have no issue attacking the terrible Mystics defense, and Connecticut will come away with the cover of the spread.
