The Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun face off on Wednesday in a WNBA semi-final playoff showdown at Wintrust Arena. The Chicago Sky currently holds a 2-1 series lead and can close it out in this game. 

In the last game, the Sky were trailing heading into the 4th quarter but they outscored the Sun 26-20, and that was enough for the three-point victory. Kahleah Copper was the top player for the Sky putting up 26 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Allie Quigley also added 21 points and four rebounds. DeWanna Bonner was the top player for the Sun putting up 22 points and five rebounds. Jonquel Jones added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

Connecticut has been the best team in the WNBA sitting with a 26-6 record but they have their backs against the wall now. They are averaging 79.7 points per game while their defense is giving up 69.9 points. Jonquel Jones has been the top player averaging 19.4 points while shooting 51.5 percent from the field. She only finished with 10 points in the last game, and Connecticut needs more production out of her.

The Sky were the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, but they only had a 16-16 record overall. It seems the Sky are getting hot at the right time, and in the last game, it was the offense that was the difference. Chicago is averaging 83.3 points per game while the defense is giving up 81.9 points. Kahleah Copper has been the best player averaging 14.4 points while shooting 45.9 percent from the field. Five different players are averaging at least 10 points per game. 

The wrong team is favored in this game. The Sky have the home crowd behind them, and they have done a good job of closing games strong. I expect another big game from Copper and she will lead the Sky to a victory. Don’t worry about taking the points, take the value with Chicago on the money line.
