The Washington Wizards have been ice-cold to start the season as they’ve lost 12 of their first 14 games and they will be hoping to arrest a seven-game slide after getting beaten by the Hornets in a 117-114 road loss on Wednesday. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 28 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists, Jordan Poole added 24 points while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 15 points and 16 rebounds. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they outpaced the Hornets for three quarters to build a 19-point lead, only to see it all go to waste in the fourth quarter where they leaked 39 points to lose yet another game they should’ve won.

Brook Lopez led the team with 28 points on 12 of 18 shooting, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 21 points with 13 rebounds and five assists while Damian Lillard scored 27 points with five assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a poor start and scored just 17 points in the first quarter to trail by as many as 21 points which they were able to reduce to three points before they just ran out of time.

The Wizards are still missing Ryan Rollins and Delon Wright, while the Bucks are still missing Jae Crowder for this one. It’s no surprise at all that the Wizards are double-digit underdogs in this one as they’ve been ice-cold all season, but they were more than competitive in their last outing. The Bucks will be eager to get back in the win column following a tough loss to the Celtics on Weddnesday and I think they get it in style as they should have way too much firepower for these hapless Wizards.
