The Colorado Rockies and the Milwaukee Brewers square off Saturday in MLB action from Truist Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Milwaukee Brewers vs Colorado Rockies Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Colorado Rockies will start Ty Blach here and Blach is 3-7 with a 6.65 ERA and 35 strikeouts this season. This will be Blach’s second career start against the Brewers. Tobias Myers will get the start for Milwaukee here and is 6-5 with a 3.00 ERA and 101 strikeouts this season. This will be Myers’ second career start against Colorado.

Colorado Rockies Recap

The Colorado Rockies will try to pick up some momentum after upsetting the Brewers with a 3-2 win in Friday’s series opener. The win gave the Rockies a chance to snap their series losing streak with L’s against the Braves and Orioles over the last week.

Rockies Trying To Play Spoiler

Going into Friday, Ezequiel Tovar leads the Rockies with 153 hits including a team-high 40 doubles, 22 home runs, and 64 RBIs with 177 strikeouts as well this season while Ryan McMahon has 17 home runs and 59 RBIs along with 25 doubles and 160 strikeouts as well. Brenton Doyle’s added 24 doubles, 22 home runs, 66 RBIs and a team-high 26 stolen bases as well as 4 triples and Brendan Rodgers has a team-best .273 batting average this season. Michael Toglia also chipped in 22 home runs as well this season.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win

  • The Brewers have lost four of their last five games as favorites.
  • The underdogs have won each of the Brewers’ last three games.
  • The Rockies have covered the run line in 20 of their last 21 games as underdogs against the Brewers following a win.
  • The Brewers have failed to cover the run line in each of their last eight Saturday games against National League opponents.

Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers will try to rebound after a disappointing start to the series in Friday’s defeat. The loss gave Milwaukee a tough road back to rebound from their series loss to the Cardinals to start the week.

Brewers Trying To Close Out NL Central

Entering Friday’s action, William Contreras leads the Brewers with 148 hits including 34 doubles and 80 RBIs along with 20 home runs and a .358 OBP while Rhys Hoskins has 23 home runs with 70 RBIs and Willy Adames has 29 doubles with 29 home runs and 100 RBIs. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 41 stolen bases while Adames has a team-high 152 strikeouts as well this season. Jackson Chourio added 19 homers and 69 RBIs also on the year.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

  • The Rockies have lost seven of their last eight road games against NL Central opponents following a win.
  • The Brewers have won five of their last six night games against the Rockies at American Family Field following a loss.
  • The Rockies have failed to cover the run line in five of their last six games following a win.
  • The Brewers have covered the run line in three of their last four night games against the Rockies at American Family Field following a home loss.

Milwaukee Brewers vs Colorado Rockies Prediction

I’m on the Brewers here. It didn’t necessarily pan out for Milwaukee in Friday’s opener, but Ty Blach’s stunk it up for much of the season, including in his return to Colorado’s rotation in his last start. Tobias Myers has been a fairly consistent and productive option in Milwaukee’s rotation and I think Myers gets the job done to get Milwaukee some revenge. Give me the Brew Crew in this one.
