The Toronto Blue Jays are 7-8 this year and they have lost two of their last three games. Toronto lost the first game in this series, but they did win game two by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. Prior to this series, the Blue Jays won two out of three against the Mariners. The Toronto pitching staff has a 5.26 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, and a .275 opponent batting average. The Blue Jays offense has scored 56 runs with a .224 batting average and a .314 on base percentage. Davis Schneider is batting .280 with two home runs and eight RBI’s for the Blue Jays. The projected starting pitcher for Toronto is Jose Berrios, who is 2-0 with a 1.45 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP over 18.2 innings pitched this year.

Rockies Preview

The Colorado Rockies are 4-11 this season and they have lost three of their last four games. Colorado won the first game in this series by a score of 12-4 on Friday night. Prior to this series, the Rockies lost two out of three against the Diamondbacks. The Colorado pitching staff has a 6.33 ERA, a 1.75 WHIP, and a .297 opponent batting average. Blue Jays vs Rockies Prediction

Toronto comes into this game after a nice bounce back win on Saturday and they will look for the series win here. The Blue Jays haven’t played their best baseball so far this season, but they should have the advantage in this game. Colorado is only 4-11 on the season and they have the worst team ERA in the MLB. The Rockies are starting Kyle Freeland, who has allowed 19 earned runs and 25 hits over 10.2 innings against the Diamondbacks (twice) and Cubs. The Blue Jays are going with Jose Berrios, who has allowed three earned runs over 18.2 innings against the Mariners, Astros, and Rays. Freeland has been awful through three starts this season and I see no reason why that wouldn’t continue. Take the Blue Jays -1.5 here.
