The Sacramento Kings play host to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Golden 1 Center on Friday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been in a real funk as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting thrashed by the Warriors in a 115-91 road loss last night. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 21 points on eight of 12 shooting, Eric Gordon added 15 points while Mason Plumelee chipped in with 12 points and 20 rebounds. As a team, the Clippers shot a miserly 36 percent from the field and nine of 43 from the 3-point line as they held the Warriors to just 19 points in the second quarter to build a 12-point lead, before they got absolutely blown away by 70-35 in the second half. Paul George scored just 11 points on three of 15 shooting, Russell Westbrook scored just eight points on three of 12 shooting while Norman Powell scored just two points on one of nine shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in pretty good form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after sneaking past the Thunder in a 123-117 road win on Tuesday. Harrison Barnes led the team with 29 points, nine rebounds and three assists, Domantas Sabonis added 22 points with 13 rebounds and nine assists while Kevin Huerter chipped in with 20 points and nine assists. As a team, the Kings shot 52 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 44 points in the first quarter to take an early 17-point lead, but they couldn’t put the Thunder away and needed a pivotal 11-4 run in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record. The Kings are 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest and 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a winning record.

Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Clippers are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Clippers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Sacramento.

The Clippers could again be missing Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac, while the Kings have listed Richaun Holmes as day to day, but they should have De’Aaron Fox back in the lineup. The Clippers are still going through some obvious growing pains at the moment and their confidence must be low after scoring just 91 points against the Warriors last night. The Kings have been flying under the radar with seven wins in their past nine outings and they have the advantage of extra rest as they haven’t played since Tuesday, while the Clippers are playing on zero days rest. With that being said, I’ll lean towards the Kings to get the win and cover at home in a close one.
