The battle for Los Angeles continues tonight when the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Lakers have lost nine of their last 10 and their last three by double digits after getting blown out by the Rockets on Wednesday. Nick Young scored a team-high 25 points off the bench while Jodie Meeks and Pau Gasol added 21 points each, but it was never going to be enough points because the Lakers just couldn't slow down James Harden who poured in 38 points without breaking a sweat. Not even the "Hack a Howard" strategy worked because the Lakers couldn't even rebound the missed free throws which pretty much sums up how LA have been playing lately. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 14-22 overall and 6-12 on the road.

On the other hand, the Clippers have won four of their last five and are coming off a 111-105 win over the Celtics thanks to big performances from a couple of players. Blake Griffin continues to develop as the real focal point of the offense and he delivered against the Celtics, scoring a game-high 29 points and eight assists while Jamal Crawford added 26 points of his own. With the win, LA improved to 25-13 on the season and 12-10 without Chris Paul in the lineup since he arrived back in 2011.
In ATS trends, the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Clippers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home games aganist a team with a road record below .400.
Head to head, the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 1-8 ATS in the last nine meetings in LA.
The Clippers look to be in a real groove now and should be able to make light work of the struggling Lakers in this one. Get ready for Lob City...
