The Sacramento Kings will take the trip to The Palace tonight to take on the Detroit Pistons.
The Kings have lost five of their last seven and will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss tonight after falling to the Nets by 104-89 on Sunday. DeMarcus Cousins led the scoring with 28 points and 20 rebounds while Rudy Gay added 20, but the Kings just fell victim to an old teammate in Marcus Thornton who lit them up for 27 points in a Nets uniform. They'll need to improve on their defense because they allowed the Nets to shoot over 53 percent from the field, but they're also going to need more consistency from Isaiah Thomas who scored just 10 points on three of 14 shooting while committing seven turnovers. On the bright side, Sacramento did a great job of attacking the glass and grabbing 20 offensive rebounds thanks to 10 from Cousins and they'll need more of that tonight.

Meanwhile, the Pistons have lost 10 of their last 12 and will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak after falling to the Celtics by 118-111 on Sunday. Josh Smith had a big game of 28 points, Greg Monroe added 22 and Andre Drummond scored 18 points with 22 rebounds, but it still wasn't enough to get the win on the road. Defensively, the Pistons just couldn't find a way to disrupt Rajon Rondo who made 18 of the Celtics' 38 assists or force turnovers which comes down to basic defensive principles of pressuring the ball handler and playing passing lanes. Despite the loss, Detroit is still only 3 1/2 games out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss, while the Pistons are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss.
Head to head, the Kings are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall but a healthy 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Detroit.
I really don't want to side with either team in this game because you really don't know what you're putting your money on. However, the score has gone Over in five of the last six meetings between these teams and I don't see why that trend should change now.
