The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors collide in NBA action from STAPLES Center.
Head to head, the Warriors are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings while the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Clippers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Western Conference and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall, but just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Warriors on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
It's fair to say the Golden State Warriors have been a disappiontment on the offensive end this season, but don't count them out just yet. The Warriors are having one of their best scoring streches of the season, averaging 108.8 points over their last seven games, which is 5.2 better than their season average. Golden State can also feel confident in that they scored 105 and 111 points in consecutive wins over the Clippers in their last two meetings, which were both at home. Los Angeles did win the first meeting of the season at their place 126-115.
As far as LA is concerned, their recent scoring binge has seen them become the NBA's premier offensive unit, averaging 107.8 points per game this season. All three of the Clippers last three outings have surpassed 215 points, which includes that 142-94 pounding over their cross-town rivals last week. Los Angeles is also averaging 110.9 points a game at home this season, which is easily the best mark in the league.
While both Golden State and Los Angeles had their fair share of low scoring games a couple of weeks back, both look to be back to their best coming into tonight's showdown, which can't be understated. Most of the Clippers home games this season have been shootout's, which have been really fun to watch. 214 isn't all that much when you look at what numbers these teams have been putting up lately...
