The Washington Wizards pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night.

The Washington Wizards have really struggled this season as they’ve won just three of their first 13 games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after last night’s 107-88 road loss to the Rockets. Bradley Beal led the team with 33 points on 12 of 28 shooting, Russell Westbrook added 19 points with 11 rebounds and seven assists while Robin Lopez chipped in with 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Wizards shot 39 percent from the field and a miserly five of 26 from the 3-point line as they trailed by just four points at halftime, before going ice-cold in the second half where they managed just 36 points.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in terrible form lately as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games and because they had their last game postponed, they haven’t seen the court since their 120-110 loss to the Timberwolves on Saturday. Brandon Ingram led the team with 30 points on 11 of 20 shooting, Eric Bledsoe added 28 points, Zion Williamson scored 19 points with 11 rebounds while Lonzo Ball chipped in with 11 points and seven assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot 46 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they poured in 64 points in the first half, but there was just no recovering after they managed just 14 points in the third quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Wizards have really struggled this season, they’re dealing with trade rumors and are playing this one on zero days rest. The Pelicans are in a very similar position, so they’re not a certainty to take advantage in this spot.
