Portland Trail Blazers vs Philadelphia 76ers NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/11/21

The Portland Trailblazers play host to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Moda Center on Thursday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been in great form lately as they’ve won six of their past seven games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Kings in a 119-111 road win on Tuesday. Joel Embiid led the team with 25 points, 17 rebounds and six assists, Tobias Harris added 22 points with 10 rebounds, Seth Curry scored 22 points while Ben Simmons racked up 14 points with seven rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 20 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 14-point lead, before rallying in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Kings by 32-20 to win comfortably in the end. 

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been building nicely as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the slumping Magic in a 106-97 home win on Tuesday. Damian Lillard led the team with 36 points on nine of 22 shooting, Carmelo Anthony added 23 points on seven of 16 shooting off the bench while Gary Trent Jr chipped in with 15 points and six assists. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 38 percent from the field and 18 of 46 from the 3-point line as they jumped out to an early double-digit lead with 31 points in the first quarter, before pushing the margin out to 17 points early in the fourth quarter to put the game to bed early. 

Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 14-34-3 ATS in their last 51 road games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Trailblazers are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-0 in the last six meetings overall, the 76ers are 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Portland and the 76ers are 0-5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

The Trailblazers have been doing well to stay above .500 despite losing CJ McCollum to injury and it’s no surprise that it’s been Lillard leading the way. However, the 76ers have been one of the form teams of the league and they’re just about at full strength. I’m expecting a close one and the 76ers aren’t the best road team as they’ve won seven of their 12 road games so far, but I think the shorthanded Trailblazers will struggle in this one.
