The Houston Rockets and the New York Knicks collide at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

The Houston Rockets have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss after getting stopped by the Heat in a 101-94 home loss on Thursday. John Wall and Eric Gordon each scored 17 points while DeMarcus Cousins and Jae’Sean Tate each scored 16 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 38 percent from the field and 15 of 50 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start after holding the Heat to just 19 points in the first quarter, before getting ambushed in the third quarter where they were outscored by 28-10. Victor Oladipo scored just six points on two of six shooting before leaving the game with an ankle sprain.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in a rut themselves as they’ve lost seven of their past 11 games, but they will be looking to build some momentum after beating the Wizards in a 109-91 road loss last night. Julius Randle led the team with 24 points, 18 rebounds and four assists, Isaiah Quickly added 16 points off the bench while Derrick Rose chipped in with 14 points and six assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 44 percent from the field and just six of 24 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 30 points in the first quarter and outpaced the Wizards from start to finish in a game where they led by as many as 25 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. The Knicks are 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the over is 5-1-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Rockets are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Rockets are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in New York.

The Rockets have really gone ice-cold lately, so they’re looking more vulnerable than ever which is great news for a streaky Knicks team coming off a nice win over the Wizards. The Rockets are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record, but they are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in New York, so I’m taking them to bounce back here against a tired Knicks team playing on zero days’ rest.
