Portland Trail Blazers vs Detroit Pistons NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/10/21

The Portland Trailblazers play host to the Detroit Pistons at the Moda Center on Saturday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past seven games and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Kings in a 113-101 road win on Thursday. Cory Joseph led the team with 24 points and seven assists, Isaiah Stewart added 16 points with 13 rebounds and four assists while Saddiq Bey chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 52 percent from the field and eight of 23 from the 3-point line as they poured in 35 points in the second quarter to lead by as many as 22 points, before easing off in the fourth quarter where the Kings made a late rally.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their last four games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after getting routed by the Jazz in a 122-103 road loss on Thursday. Damian Lillard led the team with 23 points and six assists, CJ McCollum added 19 points while Norman Powell chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot just 39 percent from the field and 13 of 48 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to take the narrow lead at halftime, before getting completely blown out in the third quarter where they were outscored by 40-19. No bench player scored more than eight points and Carmelo Anthony scored just seven points on two of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games and 6-17-3 ATS in their last 26 games following a win of more than 10 points. The Trailblazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team below .400.

The Pistons have come to life with four wins in their last seven games, so they’ll be quietly confident of their chances against a stumbling Trailblazers team who have been well below their best recently. Joseph had a big game for the Pistons in their win on Thursday, but they’re going to need more than to beat this Trailblazers lineup. Lillard has been in a bit of a scoring slump recently, but I think he snaps out of it with a big game in this one.
